It’s the time of year when gift lists are everywhere.
As a 56 year old Mama of 5, I thought I’d share mine. Maybe it’ll help any teens or young adults who are looking for gifts & don’t know what to get their Mama.
To my teens and young adult children. Here are my top 3 gift requests:
Time with YOU - Yep, that’s always my number one gift request. It doesn’t need to be a fancy, expensive outing. I’m happy with just a lunch or coffee date. Even at your home. :) I just want to spend time with YOU.
A picture with YOU - Do you have one you love? Print it and frame it. If you don’t, how about if we take one together? I’d love it.
A letter from YOU - It doesn’t need to be long. I’d love a hand-written note from you. About anything. There’s something beautiful about capturing thoughts on paper. It’s old fashioned and nostalgic and meaningful. Trust me, I’ll keep it forever.
That’s it.
Easy.
As a parent, YOU are my greatest gifts. I don’t need anymore things. Just your love + time.
I hope this helps.
Happy Holidays!!
Xo,
Mama
This year, when my oldest (and busiest) kid asks what I want for my birthday, Mother's Day, or Christmas, I'll say, "Lunch or coffee with you." Thanks for a great list!
Well done Kathi! I have the same list.
